A couple from upstate New York has reportedly been charged for killing their own teenage son who suffered from Cerebral Palsy.
According to local media reports, the couple was slapped with charges relating to manslaughter as well as criminal negligence in regards to their teen’s death.
A report revealed by officials showed how the young son suffered from Cerebral Palsy and was just 17 years old.
The couple has been identified as Lisa and Anthony Waldron who hail from Oswego. They were arrested in relation to the case on Wednesday, just one day after the medical examiner ruled the child’s death to be a homicide, as reported by Syracuse.com recently.
Moreover, the medical examiner also spoke about how infection, as well as malnutrition, were both possible causes behind his untimely and tragic death.
The teen who passed away had so many bed sores on a huge portion of his body as revealed recently by the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office.
As a part of their investigation, the cops interviewed the teen’s doctor as well as his teachers. In the same way, they obtained his medical and school records as well, mentioned in the report.
Both parents were also reportedly charged for endangering his welfare, keeping aside the fact that he was physically disabled and incompetent.
The parents arrived for their recent arraignment on Wednesday where the judge ordered both the mother and the father to be held on bail.
