Comedian Neel Nanda has died at the age of 32, multiple top comedy clubs such as The Comedy Chateau and The Port Comedy Club confirmed.
His television credits include Comedy Central’s Adam Devine’s House Party and Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
After the heartbreaking news of his passing, comics Dane Cook and Matt Rife paid heartfelt tribute to their late friend.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Rife said: “RIP Neel Nanda. You were one of the nicest, hardest working comedians I’ve ever called a friend.
“I hope you can be at peace brother.”
Cook also paid tribute to the late comedian and said the news is ‘both heartbreaking and eye-opening. I echo so many in expressing there is help out there.’
He continued: “Please remember you are never alone. People want to help you. There is a path through your pain. Prayers to Neel’s family, friends and fans.”
Fellow comic Adam Newman shared a group photo with Nanda and wrote about his generosity, saying his passing ‘is truly a huge loss for comedy and everyone who knew him.’
Content creator Nick Kaufman also remembered Nanda as ‘a really funny comic’ and ‘a genuinely sweet guy.’
“I just heard Neel Nanda passed away,” Kaufman wrote. “When I was doing standup he was everywhere. He founded a podcast network and ran two of the best shows on the westside.
“Not only was he a great comedian, he worked harder than anybody else on the scene.”
German comedian Mario Adrion also shared a photo from a recent show and wrote: “Rest in peace my friend @neelnanda. I just did shows with him in Canada last week and am f***ing heartbroken.
“We only met this year but he brought a lot of light and positivity into my life in the short time I got to spend with him.
“Neel was a great comedian and always made an effort to lift up others around him- I am grateful I got to meet him. Much love to his family and everyone who’s grieving!”
Nanda leaves behind his devastated family, including his mother, father, and sister.
