Heartbreaking Class Photo Emerges Of Children Smiling When Texas Gunman Opened Fire And Killed 19 Kids And Two Teacher


A class picture of the students at a Texas elementary school shows the scale of the tragic incident that occurred in Uvalde.

The children were photographed beaming at the camera in a class photo taken at the Robb Elementary school. 11 of the 17 students in the photo have been identified as victims of the shooting.

They are Jose Flores, 10; Eliahana Cruz Torres, 10; Layla Salazar, 10; Lexi Rubio, 10;  Jacklyn Cazares, 10; Annabelle Guadalupe Rodriguez, 10; Jayce Carmelo Luevanos, 10; Maite Yuleana, 10; Uziyah Garcia, 8; Xavier Lopez, 10; and Rojelio Torres, 10.

Salvador Ramos, 18, killed 19 children and two teachers on Tuesday after buying the rifle legally one week before the massacre.

One survivor recalled the traumatizing moment the gunman entered the classroom and told them ‘it’s time to die.’

Speaking to KENS 5, the fourth-grader said: “He came in and he crouched a little bit and he said, he said: ‘It’s time to die.’”

“When I heard the shooting through the door, I told my friend to hide under something so he won’t find us,” the young boy recalled.

“I was hiding hard. And I was telling my friend to not talk because he is going to hear us.”

The young boy and four other students hid under a table as Ramos opened fire, taking the lives of 19 students and two teachers.

17 others were left injured.

The young boy said they stayed hidden under the table covered with cloth until the gunfire stopped.

“I just opened the curtain. And I just put my hand out. I got out with my friend. I knew it was police. I saw the armor and the shield,” he shared.

He also said that his teachers, Eva Mireles and Irma Garcia, sacrificed themselves to protect his classmates.

“They were nice teachers,” he continued. “They went in front of my classmates to help. To save them.”

Authorities said that it is not clear why Ramos targeted the school.

The teen had no known mental illnesses or criminal history. His family, friends and co-workers described him as a loner who was bullied.

Reports said that he and his grandmother got in a heated argument over his phone bill before he shot her and drove to the school.
