Just a week after one family sued the Sesame Place theme park over alleged racial discrimination by a mascot who appeared to ignore a young girl of color, another similar case involving Chuck E. Cheese is in the making.

Naney D. Muhammad was at a Chuck E. Cheese in Wayne, New Jersey, with her 2-year-old daughter when the toddler was seemingly ignored by the restaurant’s mascot who walked past her and failed to give her a high-five even though the person inside appeared to look down in the direction of the child.

The incident was caught on camera by the furious mom who shared her clip on social media and threatened to sue the chain.

“My 2-year-old was racially discriminated against. As you can see, he gives all of the yt kids hi-5s and PURPOSELY ignored my black baby,” she wrote.

According to Muhammad, she wasn’t happy with the restaurant’s apology, and she now plans on suing the chain.

“My next step after they released the unapologetic statement is, yes, I do plan to take legal action,” she told TMZ.

In the video taken by Muhammad, the mascot could be seen acknowledging the kids on the stage and giving them high-fives before seemingly ignoring Naney’s daughter who was excitedly jumping on the floor right next to Cheese.

At one point, the person in the mascot appears to turn around and look in the direction of the child before continuing to ignore her.

After the mother complained about the mascot’s behavior to the management, the mascot was told to pose for a photo with the young girl.

“I’m hoping my attorney will at least be able to give us some justice, because at this point it seems like it’s becoming a pattern. With little black kids getting ignored at amusement parks and indoor playgrounds where they’re supposed to feel like a child, feel like, you know, loved and appreciated,” Muhammad added.

“This is becoming a pattern so we definitely need to get some justice done.”

Following the incident, Chuck E. Cheese representatives spoke out and said:

“Chuck E. Cheese is saddened when any family or child has a less than perfect experience.

We want to thank the family who brought this to our attention… and for giving the onsite manager an opportunity to apologize and address their concerns in person.”

As the angry mom told ABC 7, however, the on-site apology was dismissive and somewhere along the lines: “I’m sorry you feel that way.”
