Christopher Walken was spotted making a rare public appearance as he attended his friend Robert De Niro’s 80th birthday bash.
For the first time in months, the legendary actor broke the cover of his home and privacy to join De Niro’s star-studded event at the Locanda Verde restaurant in NYC on Thursday.
Attending the party alongside The Deer Hunter star was also his wife, 79-year-old Georgianne, who looked stunning in a floral jacket and white pants.
Walken has remained active in the film industry for several decades and he currently plays Burt Goodman in the TV show Severance. The actor is also set to appear in Dune: Part Two later this year.
Previously, Walken and De Niro appeared side by side in the critically acclaimed film The Deer Hunter. For his role as a Vietnam War veteran, Walken received a Best Supporting Actor award, whereas De Niro was nominated for Best Actor before losing the award to Jon Voight over his performance in Coming Home.
Since the 1979 movie, De Niro and Walken reunited several times including for their onscreen collaboration in 2020 The War with Grandpa.
Besides Walken and Georgianne, hordes of other high-profile celebrities were spotted at the 80th birthday bash in NYC. Among them were also the likes of Paul McCartney, George Lucas, Uma Thurman, Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola, Alec Baldwin, and more.
The news comes months after De Niro and his girlfriend Chen welcomed a baby girl Gia into their family, making De Niro a father of seven with children aged from just four months to 51 years.
