Heartbreaking reports are coming in from top charity organizations that have issued warnings about active human trafficking groups in Polish refugee camps.
According to local media reports, so many of these pimps are targeting innocent Ukrainian refugees who have left their war-torn nation for safe refuge.
In particular, it was shocking for many to learn how the target for these groups are mostly women and children who try and lure them away in a deceptive manner.
These criminals could be seen on numerous occasions making attempts to promise safety and refuge, along with free transport. All of these attributes of good Samaritans may appeal to so many tired and helpless civilians who soon realize the mess that they’ve managed to get themselves into.
While some of these traffickers work in big gangs, others could be seen going about their business in an independent manner. And that is what makes the situation all the more dangerous and alarming, mentioned the charity organizations.
Children and women appear as easy and vulnerable targets and that’s why they prefer to pounce upon them first, mentioned one official.
In total, around 3.6 million refugees have reportedly fled the war-torn nation of Ukraine in the past few weeks as the UN has warned the ongoing humanitarian crisis to be one of the worst catastrophes since World War II.
It was surprisingly revealed how the traffickers arise not only as men but also as women who lure innocent targets at bus stations, as soon as they arrive in the nation.
“Some are offering them accommodation for free while others offer them work”- mentioned the human rights coordinator for the organization called Homo Faber.
