A grandmother has been charged with stabbing a loving 5-year-old child to death.
Sources from local media outlets went on to mention that the child’s parents were at work when the awful tragedy struck, and that left him all alone and begging for help.
The suspect was identified by the cops as 50-year-old Elena Anghel who was charged with the crime of killing her 5-year-old grandson named Mario.
The young victim was reportedly found covered in the most severe injuries at their residence in Coventry during the last year. But many people had a hard time believing that any grandmother could be so cruel as he was under her care while the parents worked.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the crime to try and save the young child’s life. And despite their dire attempts of doing so, they remained unsuccessful and he died.
The child was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime. A post-mortem was similarly conducted to determine the real cause of his death. And that’s when it was confirmed that he died from the brutal stab wounds of the grandmother.
The suspect was initially arrested by the cops. But later on, it was confirmed that she had been sectioned due to a new Mental Health Act.
While the planned trial is all set to begin in June of this year, the suspect did arrive in the courtroom today for her first appearance. For now, she is being looked after in a mental health facility.
The entire story is just one big bizarre mystery. It’s not clear why anyone would behave in this manner. And that’s especially true when you have a grandmother who has always been looking after and caring for the child for so long.
