Terrifying new details about the horrifying attack surrounding Speaker Nancy Pelosi are now taking center stage.
According to reports from local media outlets, the suspect was seen assaulting her husband Paul Pelosi using a hammer. But little did anyone realize that he was capable of causing so much more damage as he was on the lookout for her.
The incident took place today where the alleged attacker made his way inside the home of the House Speaker and attached her husband using a hammer. This caused him to suffer the worst injuries. He is believed to have been rushed to a nearby local hospital by the paramedics where he is now being treated for his horrific injuries.
The attacker managed to invade the Speaker’s home while searching for the Democratic legislator.
The chief of the San Francisco police department mentioned on Friday how officers were immediately dispatched to the House Speaker’s home after an urgent call had been received by her townhouse.
The suspect was soon caught and handed over to the cops and questioned for his motive.
He was recently identified as 42-year-old David Depape through a struggle alongside the likes of Mr. Pelosi over a simple hammer.
Officers claim to have witnessed the suspect moving forward at high speeds and going about to slam Paul Pelosi who is 82 years old in age.
Thankfully, the cops did manage to tackle him down to the ground before he inflicted more injuries on him which seemed to be his next move.
The suspect is now being held at the San Francisco County Jail. This is where he will now be arraigned on charges linked to attempted homicide, assault using a deadly weapon, burglary, and several other felonies.
