BREAKING: 23 Children HOSPITALIZED After School Bus Crashes In Ohio


More than twenty students were hospitalized after a school bus swerved off the road and crashed in Ohio.

The shocking incident took place in Clark County where a school bus carrying 52 elementary school students tipped over and crashed after swerving off the road to avoid a collision with an oncoming car that veered to the middle of the road and clipped the bus on Tuesday at 8.13 am.

In the crash, one child was ejected from the bus window and killed instantly. Another student suffered serious injuries while an additional 22 students were hospitalized for various injuries.

“The Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association has declared a mass casualty incident, per its protocol. Dayton Children’s emergency department saw 22 children from this accident. Some came by ambulance, and some were brought by their parents,” Dayton Children’s Hospital announced in a statement.

Meanwhile, Northwestern Local Schools confirmed the incident and alerted parents while canceling afternoon preschool programs for the day.

“Northwestern Family, I am saddened to report that there was an Injury accident this morning involving one of our buses,” the statement read.

“We are still gathering information and will share it with you as it becomes available. Currently, 41 is closed near the school. We will be dismissing at our usual times.

“We are expecting bus drop off times to be off this afternoon, so please be patient. I will send another update later today.”

According to the preliminary investigation, the bus carrying 52 children had no seatbelts.

It was also confirmed that the bus driver and the driver of the car that forced the bus off the road didn’t suffer major injuries.
