A young boy who was brutally stabbed managed to reveal his killer’s identity in his final words before passing away.
11-year-old Bruce Johnson Jr from New Mexico was lying in his bed when he was repeatedly stabbed in his chest on Sunday morning.
The young boy was found bleeding by his father, Bruce Sr, who immediately called 911 after waking up to the screams of his son.
Bruce Sr also found his estranged wife, Mary Johnson, bleeding profusely out of her stab wounds in another room.
Just after 1 am, the police arrived at the home and rushed the 11-year-old to the hospital. Before his death at 4.19 am, the boy managed to say his last words in which he revealed that he was stabbed by his own mother.
“Mr Johnson told deputies that he was asleep when he heard his son screaming. He found his son in his room, lying on the bed suffering from stab wounds,” Lea County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
“He went to call 911 when he discovered Mary was also stabbed, but she was unconscious in another room. Mary suffered self-inflicted stab wounds to her chest.
“Bruce Jr. was conscious upon arriving at the hospital, where he spoke with the investigator, advising his mom, Mary, had stabbed him.”
It has since the heartbreaking incident come to light that Mary Johnson stabbed her own son in the chest several times before killing herself with the same knife.
It was also revealed that Bruce Sr moved to Hobbs, New Mexico, all the way from Oklahoma to get away from his son’s abusive mother. Bruce Sr, however, allowed Johnson to see her son after she pleaded to stay with them while their divorce was being finalized.
According to the reports, Mary got violent with her son on at least two occasions, whereas it is believed she had been suffering from mental illness.
The gruesome murder-suicide comes after the woman posted a series of concerning messages on Facebook.
“Get your God degree to become a God! All you need to do is believe in yourself, respect others and spread kindness,” she wrote in one of her posts.
In another, she said: “My son and I discovered he can hear every f***** thing that I’m thinking.point 204 |
I don’t like this God! My son does not need to be listening to me talking to you! Any other mother have this problem or do I fall in that 2% category again? This is why I don’t want kids! They don’t give me freedom.point 177 | I’m heard writing, thinking, reading, sleeping … Who wants to be Mother God?”point 252 | 1
