BREAKING: 11-Year-Old Charged As ADULT After Killing His Mother When She Refused To Buy Him A New Toy

A young boy will stand trial as an adult after killing his own mother when she refused to buy him a new toy.

The 11-year-old Wisconsin boy in question fatally shot his mom, 44-year-old Quiana Mann, after getting upset when she told him she wouldn’t be buying him a new VR set.

The incident unraveled in November 2022 when the boy was just ten years old, and it was now confirmed he was found competent to answer for his act as an adult.

While two psychologists working on the case disagreed on whether or not the boy understood court proceedings, Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Jane Carroll ruled that he was competent to proceed.

“He knew his case was in adult court, he knew that his case was a felony, he knew that there were two types of cases – felonies and misdemeanors, he knew it was serious,” prosecutor Sara Waldschmidt said.

Meanwhile, the boy’s family spoke out and revealed that the boy claims not to remember the shooting. He previously told the police that he wanted to shoot the wall to scare his mother and that she got shot after stepping in front of the gun.

The family also claims that the boy is only thinking about his gadgets and that their conversations always end up in those waters.

“When he calls, he’s just like, ‘Make sure all my tablets and laptop and everything of mine is properly packaged,’” aunt Rhonda Reid said.

The boy’s grandmother, Lueritha Mann, added: “I hope I do [talk to him] one day, but right now no. He took something very precious from me. I can’t believe he did it, he needs to pay for what he’s done.”

As per Wisconsin state law, children as young as ten can be charged as adults for serious crimes. If convicted, the boy faces up to 60 years in prison.

Why was there a loaded gun in the house in the first place ? Was his mother responsible for that ? If so he should not be tried as an adult ! She was responsible for her own death by giving a minor access to a loaded gun .

You sound dumb… sure she shouldn’t have left a loaded gun where the boy could get it but that doesn’t make her responsible. He was old enough to know he shouldn’t have messed with the gun. He purposely killed her because he was spoiled and couldn’t get what he wanted. He should be charged as an adult.

He MURDERED someone. He didn’t accidentally pick up the gun and he didn’t accidentally pull the trigger. He did it once and he’d probably do it again. He needs to be locked up.

The parent is responsible if a loaded gun was left lying around. Up here in Michigan, last year, a kid went to school with a gun, and shot some students. His parents are also being prosecuted, rightfully so.

You are an idiot. I was raised around loaded guns. The child was evil. He could have killed her with a skillet. Just happened to have a gun.

A ten year old’s brain in not even fully developed. Charging this boy as an adult is mind boggling.

At first I was thinking he didn’t understand enough about what he did to be responsible, but then he was intelligent enough to explain about attempting to scare her, not saying I was mad. I believe he knows what he is doing. The child is a sociopath only concerned about what is his wants he gadgets kept boxed.

Wow, way to blame the dead victim. Just because a gun was present doesn’t excuse using it to kill someone.

All mothers will take abuse and disrespect from their kids. Always forgiving. That’s the way loving mothers are. He should be charged

He knows. There is some sort of disconnect in children these days
Children have always been a little selfish but kids mow are spoiled and that ruins them
Video games become their life and they get lost in them

Sorry but a 10 year old knows right from wrong. He knows enough to ask that the family makes sure his gadgets are stored properly. At that age my sister and I made sure we got on the school bus, came home cleaned the house and had supper in the table when our parents came home from work. Yea I know kids are different now……..NO they are not it’s the way parents raise them that are different. And yes we had a loaded gun and knew not to touch it unless we fully intended to use it. At 8 I shot a 22 blowing a snake in half bc it got into my rabbit pen and killed babies.

Perhaps he will learn the value in people rather than things while he’s in prison.

    Give him orisons time.
You don’t shoot people just because you didn’t get what you want.
You need to earn it ,also never took into account money might have been tight .
    Jail for him .

I believe although what he did was a horrible act, he’s way too young to be tried as an adult.

No child that young can be competent to stand trail for a murder.

Unfortunately prison will only make him harder and more evil, he definitely needs to be punished but it needs to be more constructive. The tax payers money should be put to use wisely

This boy killed his mother. Are none of you reading that, all because he couldn’t get a toy he wanted. Now that’s done in anger because he wasn’t getting what he wanted. He should go to prison, whether he regrets what his done. There is no going back from . Murder he should go away for a long time for what he has done.

I totally agree why was the gun loaded..also in a place were a 10 year old can get at it..so no he should be accountable for his actions. But as a child .his family are responsible for the gun…but my opinion guns NEED TO BE BAND COMPLETELY..to many children are dieing or shooting each other.

Ban all guns end off. How many killings does there have to be before someone has the mentality to do something about it. Why not if you’re found with a gun you’ll do 60 years in prison
