JUST IN: 6-Year-Old Boy Rushed To Hospital With Severe Burns After 8-Year-Old Bully Intentionally Lit Him On Fire

A 6-year-old boy from Connecticut was rushed to a hospital with severe burns to his legs and face after an 8-year-old bully poured gasoline on a tennis ball, lit it on fire, and threw it at the young boy’s face.

Dominick Krankall survived the attack but he was left suffering from severe second and third-degree burns to his legs and face.

His sister, Kayla Deegan, wrote on a GoFundMe page: “My six-year-old brother could’ve died. The kid covered a ball in gasoline, lit it on fire and threw it at him. All in a matter of seconds. He’s going to be scarred for life mentally and physically.”

The vicious attack happened on Sunday when Dominick was playing in his home’s backyard on Louisiana Avenue in Bridgeport.

Deegan said that their 8-year-old neighbor entered the property and called her brother over.

She said that the attacker threw the fireball then “ran away and watched (Dominick) burn,” according to NBC News.

The Connecticut Burn Center at Bridgeport Hospital is the only Burn Center in Connecticut. It is one of the 62 verified Burn Centers in the U.S.

John Cappiello, media relations coordinator with Bridgeport Hospital, said to Daily Mail that the boy “remains in fair condition today.”

According to the Bridgeport Office of Emergency Management, preliminary reports reveal that up to four children were seen playing with gasoline and lighting objects on fire.

Dominick’s family said the incident was not the first time he was beat up by the 8-year-old. They said that another attack also put the younger boy in the hospital.

“He has a history of bullying, and he has gotten away with too much. The mother thinks he is innocent. The family thinks it’s a joke,” Deegan continued.

“Even though Dominick can’t talk because he’s in a lot of pain and all swollen, he said to my mom, ”Please don’t take me back there.”

“This is extremely unfair and shouldn’t ever happen to ANY CHILD!!! We need justice for our little Dominick.”

Speaking to NBC New York, Deegan said: “It’s heartbreaking, it’s sickening to know the family. There’s nothing being done about this. This needs to be seen everywhere so everyone knows Dom’s story and what he had to go through, and the extent it went to for someone to hopefully do something.”
