Cayden Denny was a 3-year-old boy from Florida who was with his mother, 31-year-old Cassandra Lyn Becher, and another person on December 3 when the incident unfolded.

According to the reports, Cassandra parked her car in a garage in Melbourne, Florida, when her son swiftly exited the vehicle and started running away before she could stop him.

“As most of you know, Johnny Denny and I tragically lost our son Cayden Sunday night. I can’t even express how I feel right now besides empty. I am physically hurt as the vehicle struck Cayden and I, going 65 mph down Dairy Road in front of our home. All I really know is that I tried my best to save him,” Cassandra wrote in a heartbreaking post.

“He [Cayden] was the coolest little boy and his family’s pride and joy. They were a young family, just getting their lives as a family started out,” he wrote.

“Cayden lost his life from a motor vehicle accident. This tragedy leaves a big hole in a lot of people’s hearts. We’re raising money to help cover funeral expenses as well as travel for some immediate family members that live outside the area. Anything left over will go to the family to help cover miscellaneous expenses and bills while they process and grieve.”
