Bob Saget’s cause of death has finally been revealed one month after the actor and comedian was found dead in his hotel room.
On January 9, the beloved Full House star and stand-up comedian was found dead inside his Ritz Carlton Hotel room in Orlando following a performance that was a part of his cross-country tour.
Following Bob’s sudden and unexpected death, the police quickly confirmed that drugs and foul play didn’t play a role in his death and that the official cause of death would be released by a medical examiner.
Now, sources have informed TMZ that the comedian died from a brain bleed after sustaining a head injury following his arrival at the hotel.
According to the reports, the Full House actor struck his head against an unknown object after he checked into the Orlando hotel.
Unaware of the internal injuries he had sustained, the 65-year-old then went to sleep only to succumb to his injury and never wake up.
“Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities’ investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us,” Saget’s family confirmed on Wednesday.
“The authorities have determined that Bob passed away from head trauma. They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved.”
They added: “As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter.”
