Terrifying reports have confirmed the death of an adorable 3-month-old baby boy who tragically passed away after being left alone inside his parents’ vehicle in Pennsylvania.
According to local media reports, the young child stayed for several hours in Pennsylvania’s scorching hot temperatures, which increased to 32 degrees celsius on the day he was killed.
Authorities were immediately called in to help after reports about the child being inside a minivan located in the Upper Saint Clair on Thursday. At that time, it was 5 pm in the afternoon and that’s when officials found the child in an unresponsive state.
Paramedics conducted various efforts to help bring the child back to life but it was in vain because all of their efforts started to fail, one after the other. Soon, the baby was pronounced dead at the scene, as the officials on stand-by reported.
The infant was identified as Kayden Nguyen by the Medical Examiner’s office.
Sources from the city’s meteorological department spoke about how hot the temperatures rose on that day as summers are generally deemed to be extra hot. And this tragedy didn’t appear to be an exception.
For now, the terrifying incident is under investigation as the police have recently issued a public statement regarding the incident:
“Upper Saint Clair Police has determined that the child was left inside a parents’ car for a period of several hours. They’ve also requested homicide detectives to participate in the matter”- they added.
This young victim becomes the fourth to pass away in a hot vehicle in the US this year as mentioned recently by a report by the Kids and Cars organization. On average, a total of 38 kids pass away in a year due to hot vehicles, as mentioned in their stats.
