A mother is sharing her painful heartbreak regarding her son’s tragic death, moments after he was taken away by social services.
According to local media outlets, the mother explained how her 13-month-old child was taken away from her custody after she was deemed unfit to take care of him.
“All I ever wanted was to hold my child but they never let me”- the mother named Laura Corkill revealed.
She was the birth mom of little Leiland James Corkill. Shortly after his birth, the child was given to another ‘adopted’ mom by social services.
“I was with him for less than 48 hours. They promised me that he would now be in the loving care and comfort of a new home and new parents who would take care of him. But little did I know of the horrors involved!”- she started to explain.
The mother says she finds it beyond belief how anyone could kill an adorable-looking child, especially when they pledged to adopt him for so long.
“I was kept being told that I wouldn’t be able to meet his needs. They said they needed a replacement if I wished to see my child grow into a happy and healthy human being. It all sounded too good to be true”- the heartbroken mom explained.
Just 13 months later, news of her dead child went viral on social media, leaving the mom grieving till today.
Laura explained how she was unfairly penalized and told that she was not capable of taking care of her kids. She blames her former partner who was not only violent with her but her children too.
Now, she’s raising her voice on how her precious son would have been alive if it wasn’t for the poor governance and decision-making of the Cumbria County Council.
