A young baby tragically passed away while vacationing with her family at a five-star hotel in Turkey.
Michael and Elizabeth Coffey from London, UK, were unwinding at the Land of Legends Kingdom Hotel along with their daughter, Elizabeth, and thirty other family members when their 6-month-old child began struggling to breathe suddenly.
According to the reports, the young girl was immediately tended to by the hotel’s medical team. She was also rushed to the hospital where she was sadly pronounced dead.
While the investigation into her death remains ongoing, it is believed that the infant died choking on “food or something similar.”
“Hotel staff called paramedics when the baby was having trouble breathing. She was brought to the hospital by the first responders. Despite the doctors’ efforts, she couldn’t be saved,” a rep for the Aspendos Anatolia hospital confirmed in a statement.
“The doctor who treated her said food or something similar had got lodged in the baby’s throat and she couldn’t breathe.”
Little Elizabeth’s body has since been scheduled for an autopsy to provide clear answers to her grieving family.
Meanwhile, the girl’s loved ones paid the six-month-old a series of touching tributes in which they remembered the child as “harmless” and “too good for this cruel world.”
“Can’t believe this rest in peace baby girl. Please god comfort her mummy and daddy. Feel so heartbroken for them,” one person wrote.
“RIP little princess Elizabeth. Definitely too good for this evil world, most harmless child in [the world]. Please keep Uncle Jimmy’s Michael and Elizabeth and family in prayers,” another expressed.
Our thoughts remain with Elizabeth’s loved ones during this challenging time.

Heart Melting Moment Of A 13-Week-Old Baby Saying ‘I Love You’ To Her Mother
I was there at the Land of Legends Kingdom Hotel in Belek during this family’s stay. On the night in question that this poor children died, members of their family were leaving their children unsupervised in the rooms and children’s areas at night, whilst the adults were off partying. A small boy, around 2 years of age, was on the balcony by the lifts at midnight, alone, no-one present with him for over 5 minutes. He was in distress, screaming in a shrill. When we realised the child was actually alone, we went up to the second floor to try to console him and find out where his parents were, but when we got out of the lift, the child was gone. All was quiet. A boy came out of room 2208 claiming he was 15 and was babysitting in the room with the child and had fallen asleep. He claimed his lirtle brother “got out if the room whilst he slept.” But shortly before this, this lad and the middle brother (around 10 years old) were on the basement level where the children’s free arcade games are, which led us to believe the little one was alone in the room hence panicking and coming out onto the lift balcony screaming. It was shocking. We were horrified. We informed hotel staff at guest relations who informed us that they have a zero tolerance policy to minors being unsupervised anywhere onsite and they will immediately talk to the parents. All may not be what meets the eye here, sadly. Poor children. I will also mention the family remained onside, holidaying and the poor baby’s mother and family were seen to be enjoying their remaining holiday, particularly a Golden Gate show with her children on Monday the 15th of May.
