Avril Lavigne and her fiance Mod Sun have reportedly decided to split up, just one year after the couple went public with their proposal.
According to reports from local media outlets, Mod Sun was caught mentioning how he was surprised by Avril’s decision and certainly did not see this one coming. But if that wasn’t shocking enough, many others have spoken about how Avril was pictured grabbing dinner with rapper Tyga, and that was definitely a little hard for many to digest.
Seeing the shocking news of the duo going their separate ways is not sitting down too well with the former couple’s fans and followers.
Many were quick to take to their accounts on Instagram to explain how this was not something that they saw coming. And now that rapper Tyga was seen dining out with Avril, new speculation has sparked about how the duo might even be dating.
Media outlet TMZ was one of the first ones to report how the couple was engaged, exactly one year ago. Their proposal was romantic as Avril featured her hand donning a giant diamond ring.
This was in the beautiful city of love, Paris, France. Her hand appeared to be resting on Mod Sun’s shoulders and many adored the playful take on the public proposal.
It’s also very interesting how we saw the reports of the couple’s split come just a short while after Mod Sun released his new album.
In that, he featured a track in which he was seen sharing the microphone with the punk princess for a heartfelt collaboration.
