It was an artist’s nightmare that came true on Saturday after a terrifying incident resulted in the complete shattering of a famous dog sculpture by Jeff Koons.

The incident reportedly took place at the Miami Art fair and had the world stunned after the art collector completely smashed the famous piece, leaving onlookers stunned.

The sculpture was worth a staggering $42,000 and it is being speculated that the art collector tapped it to check if it was a balloon or any actual piece of art. But to his surprise, it was a real statue.

This incident had many shocked and shaken at the Miami art fair. It was not a cheap mistake but a very costly one. And to tap on something of this grandeur to see if indeed it was real is just terrifying.

“I was just trying to see this in close-up and fine detail. I had no idea that this would just fall and shatter after I lightly tapped on it”- the art collection mentioned.

As you can imagine, the incident went viral in no time. Just so many netizens took to their accounts on social media to add how no one should be allowed to come so close to any work of art. And that too is something that is created by one of the world’s leading names in the art industry.

The work of art was shiny, it was gorgeous in blue, and so intricately designed. “You couldn’t have missed that piece in a room full of people, even if you wanted to”- mentioned one person. And just like, netizens had their say on the shattered sculpture affair.

Photage caught from the event saw all sorts of art enthusiasts lose their cool after the statue fell. They just were too upset and couldn’t peel their eyes against what was on display.
