Tragic reports coming in from Long Island have confirmed how a teenage boy was shot through the hands of a 54-year-old stranger.
According to local media reports, the horrifying crime took place during the later hours of Thursday night. Sources believed a so-called innocent prank went terribly wrong when the teenager knocked on the front and back gates of the 64-year-old Long Island citizen. And what he got in return were straight bullets, leading to catastrophic injuries.
Authorities have gone as far as claiming how a group of young teenagers was getting bored and suddenly came up with the idea to play a game of ding dong ditch. And that meant knocking on people’s doors as a part of the prank.
While things were going well, all of a sudden, something happened that caught the entire community by surprise. James Moshier didn’t have any intention of having any visitors over and that’s when he decided to shoot the teen, moments after seeing his arrival at the door.
The victim is yet to be named but authorities claim that his injuries were so severe that he needed to be airlifted on an emergency basis to a local hospital.
Yes, the 64-year-old brutally assaulted the 14-year-old victim with his deadly weapon, leaving him severely injured on Thursday. Thankfully, he is expected to survive and recover from his injuries, as confirmed by authorities in Long Island.
Now, James Moshier is being charged with assault as well as injuring a child in a bizarre and reckless manner with the help of his shotgun.
The victim is yet to be named but other reports revealed how the woman inside the suspect’s home wrongly assumed that they were being burglarized.
