A mother has made a heartbreaking plea to authorities for assistance in finding her child after she disappeared more than three weeks back, after a frantic phone call.
According to local media reports, 20-year-old Lateche Norris last spoke via a stranger’s phone with her parents in a frantic manner on the 5th of November. And that’s when she revealed how she had fought with her boyfriend.
Just days before the incident, Lateche had left her home in Indiana to go and meet her boyfriend named Joseph Smith who resides in San Diego but after that, she vanished and never returned.
Meanwhile, her boyfriend reportedly just left rehab and hence was forced to live on the streets due to his current situation, confirmed reports.
Now, Lateche’s mom is doing whatever she can to raise awareness of her daughter’s case because she feels her child is just as important as Gabby Petito and hence her case should also be paid attention to.
In a recent heartbreaking appeal that was made public on Facebook, the mother mentioned, “My daughter is very important to me and just as important as Gabby Petito,” which was a clear reference to the woman that recently went missing while on a road trip with her fiance named Brian Laundrie.point 377 |

The mother also added in a chilling note, “As if what happened to that poor sweet girl was not heartbreaking enough.”
In the same way, the grief-stricken mother says that she wishes that she had stopped her daughter from running away from home because little did she know that the outcome would turn out to be this.
“My daughter’s last words were just too heartbreaking, she sounded so frantic and we are all worried,” she added.
While her child promised to call her mom back the next day, she didn’t and now the family is asking for officials to step in and assist with the investigation.
