BREAKING: Anne Heche Is Pronounced BRAIN DEAD Following Her Car Crash


Anne Heche has been declared brain dead, representatives for the 53-year-old ‘Six Days Seven Nights’ star confirmed.

Last Friday, the actress was involved in a massive car crash after plowing her car into a Mar Vista, LA residence during her drug-fueled, high-speed ride.

Following the accident, it was confirmed that Heche was in a coma and that her injuries were severe. Sources also suggested that the actress would have a hard time recovering from smoke inhalation.

Now, the representatives for the ‘Another World’ star confirmed that she is brain dead and that her life support will be turned off.

As per her wishes, Heche will remain hooked to the ventilator until it is determined if any of her organs are suitable for donation.

“We want to thank everyone for their kind wishes and prayers for Anne’s recovery and thank the dedicated staff and wonderful nurses that cared for Anne at the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills hospital,” a family representative said.

“Unfortunately, due to her accident, Anne Heche suffered a severe anoxic brain injury and remains in a coma, in critical condition. She is not expected to survive.”

The family also claimed that Heche wanted to donate her organs and that she will stay hooked to life support until all the necessary organ tests are carried out.

In the shocking statement, the rep added that the 53-year-old will be remembered for her “generous spirit” and her “courageous honesty.”

“Anne had a huge heart and touched everyone she met with her generous spirit,” they expressed.

The announcement comes just moments after officials confirmed that Heche was “high on cocaine” and that she was driving 90 mph at the time of the crash.
