The defamation trial between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard has resumed, with the Aquaman star taking the witness stand.
In addition to the Pirates of the Caribbean star’s finger injury and the actress’ alleged defecation in their shared bed, Heard’s alleged use of a specific type of makeup to cover her injuries during her marriage with Depp has become a controversial topic.
Her lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft, shared these sentiments while showing the Milani Cosmetics All-In-One Correcting Kit last month.
“This is what Amber carried in her purse for the entire relationship with Johnny Depp. She’s an actor, do you honestly think she would have left her apartment ever without makeup?”
Milani then revealed that the kit showed did not exist at the time of Depp and Heard’s relationship as it was only released in 2017.
“You asked us… let the record show that our Correcting Kit launched in 2017!” Milani Cosmetics posted on TikTok.
People immediately speculated on social media that Heard was lying about many aspects of her testimony.
But during Heard’s recent testimony, she held up the Milani kit in question and said it was not the actual kit that she used to cover her injuries.
According to Heard, Depp allegedly grabbed a phone from her hand and threw it at her face in ‘what felt like her eye.’
Police officers who responded to two separate 911 calls on May 21, 2016, testified that they didn’t see any injuries on the actress and that she was uncooperative with them.
When asked why Heard refused to cooperate with the officers, she said that she “wanted to protect Johnny.”
