Amber Heard’s sister has taken the stand as the cross-examination in Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s trial entered the final stage.
Appearing in the Fairfax court on Wednesday to share her side of the story, Whitney Henriquez, Amber Heard’s sister, first recalled Depp as a “bright and beautiful and lovely and kind and generous.”
As she insisted, everyone fell in love with the actor back in 2012 including her sister who allegedly never fell for someone so madly before.
Things, however, would change quickly due to Depp’s drinking and drug binges, Henriquez claimed.
Recalling her sister going from a happy and bright person to being emaciated, she said:
“At first Amber was Amber, she was loud, fun, funny, she laughed a lot, was this happy, bright, fun, loving thing surrounded by friends.
“A progression took over such a long period of time. It was like watching a slow-motion gunshot. She stopped sleeping, not as loud, not as gregarious.”
According to Henriquez, Amber’s condition continued to worsen throughout her relationship with Depp until she weighed just one hundred pounds and was “emaciated, not sleeping, developed a heart condition, her eyes were sunken in.”
The actress’s sister also alleged that Depp was jealous and bossy and that he would control what she could wear when going to events.
“When he was drinking he’d get very angry and say really nasty unkind things, usually about Amber. Horrible, horrible, horrible things,” Henriquez said.
After being asked to provide an example, she added: “Pardon my language, f**king cu**, f**king used up trash bag, slimy wh**e, saggy wh**e. F**king cunt was thrown out a bunch. Horrible things like that.”
Among other shocking allegations, the sister also claimed that Depp would access Heard’s phone to spy on her and said the actor was “unrecognizable” when he was on drugs.
