The last place to ever bring anything near to an explosive is an airport but one American family didn’t quite think of that as they arrived at an Israeli airport carrying an undetonated bomb.
Panic broke out as news spread about the family’s mysterious object, leading to a major stampede as many tried to run for their lives in Tel Aviv.
According to local media reports, there were crowds and crowds of people lined up as the airport is known to be a busy destination for many flights and passengers. Therefore, when the news about an explosive being passed through a security check arose, so many tried to reach the nearest exit and make a run for it.
“It was absolute chaos. People were running in all directions. We didn’t know what to do as the panic alarm was loud and people just acted really quick without thinking”- explained one witness who happened to be there too.
One man who was reportedly injured in the fall says there was plenty of shouting in all directions. People didn’t know what to do, where to go, or who to turn to for help”- explained another.
Another person says that he just felt the need to run for his life and that’s exactly what he did.
Meanwhile, sources claim the family who brought in the suspicious device were tourists from the US, and their object comprised of a rusty shell that their child had picked up as a souvenir while traveling to Syria. But little did they know about the truth it beholds.
While this may have been a major false alarm, the news comes at a time when the security alert is at a high level due to a number of terrorist attacks taking place in Israel for the past two weeks.
