Cleveland police are currently investigating an alleged attack that took place at about 7:30 pm on a Thursday in Middlesbrough.
According to local media reports, the victim reportedly claimed the attack took place while he was walking upon a path that began from Trees Barrage and ended near the Newport Bridge which is located in Middlesbrough.
Meanwhile, the police have claimed that the male victim who appeared to be in his early 40’s, was around 5ft tall in height and had a stocky build with short length black hair. In the same way, there was a prominent gap that was located in between his upper two front teeth. He was also described as clean-shaven and spoke English that wasn’t too fluent.
In the same way, he was seen donning dark-toned clothing.
Officers in the area said the man mentioned how he was approached by another male member near a nature reserve. During the time, the officers also spoke about how the victim appeared very distressed at the time.
Some local media reports spoke about some women who happened to be in the vicinity during that time. They were in the 30’s age group and police are confident that they may have some information that could possibly help with the investigation/
The detective leading the investigation mentioned how the incident of rape took place at about 7:30 pm on a path that runs near Maze Park’s natural reserve.
Police claim that all the reports relating to rape are taken very seriously indeed and therefore they feel specially trained officers are now taking care of the victim, trying to help him come out of the trauma that he endured recently.
Currently, police are appealing to the public to please come forward and assist in the investigation as they’re looking for all the help they can find.
