A loving husky was caught chasing a car that reportedly abandoned him on the side of a road in Texas recently.
While the man who carried out the heinous act of animal cruelty was arrested by cops, a video of the startling incident soon went viral after the heartbreaking incident was shared online. Thankfully, recent reports suggest how the dog has been adopted by a new owner.
In the tragic footage available online, viewers get a glimpse of a young man working at a swift pace to remove the husky’s collar and leash as another older driver is seen sitting inside an SUV vehicle, right before the duo pull away while leaving the innocent pet behind.
The elderly man was identified as 68-year-old Texan resident Luis Antonio Campos who police soon took into their custody in regards to animal cruelty on Friday. His bail was reportedly set at $5000 as confirmed by the County Sheriff’s department in El Paso.
Moreover, the state police did not mention whether or not Campos was driving. But they did speak about how they were expecting another arrest soon, which would be a part of their ongoing investigation.
As far as the husky is concerned, he was immediately taken into rescue service and soon was adopted by a loving and new family, within just 24 hours, as mentioned by MailOnline.
