The popular onscreen duo has reportedly started dating, which Friends fans have been cheering for decades now!
Jennifer Joanna Aniston, 52, is an American actress, producer, and businesswoman. She began working as an actress at an early age and since her career progressed in the 1990s, she has become one of the world’s highest-paid actresses.
Jennifer rose to international fame for her role as Rachel Green on the television sitcom Friends (1994–2004), for which she earned Primetime Emmy, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild awards.
David Lawrence Schwimmer, 54, is an American actor, director, producer, and comedian. He gained worldwide recognition for playing Ross Geller in the sitcom Friends.
He received a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in the Comedy Series in 1995.
The Friends’ stars played one of the most remarkable on-screen couples of all time when they starred as Ross and Rachel in the hit show, with their chemistry being second to none.
Latest reports suggest that the pair are actually dating in real life, after allegedly reigniting a “spark” at the reunion.
The Friends co-stars recently came together at the reunion episode broadcasted in June. David revealed that he had a “major crush” on Jennifer while filming the show in the 1990s. Jennifer said his feelings were “reciprocated”.
“At some point, we were both crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship,” David said. “And we never crossed that boundary. We respected that.”
“We just channeled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel,” Jennifer added.
The revelation sent fans into a further flurry and sources tell the Closer magazine that the former co-stars, who are both currently single, have been growing close again since shooting the sitcom’s 25th-anniversary special.
“After the reunion, it became clear that reminiscing over the past had stirred up feelings for both of them and that chemistry they’d always had to bury was still there,” an insider said.
“They began texting immediately after filming, just last month, David flew from his home in New York to see Jen in LA,” the insider added. “They’ve been spending time at Jen’s home, where she’s cooked dinners in the evenings, and have enjoyed quality time together, chatting and laughing.”
“They were also spotted drinking wine, deep in conversation, as they walked around one of Jen’s favorite vineyards in Santa Barbara, where it was clear there was lots of chemistry between them,” the source added.
Jennifer was married to Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005 and later wed Justin Theroux, whom she split from in 2018 after more than two years of marriage and almost seven years together.
While Schwimmer was previously married to Zoe Buckman from 2010 until they split in 2017 and whom he shares 10-year-old daughter Cleo.
During a chat with fellow former Friends stars Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show in June, Jennifer once again said she and David never acted on their feelings for one another.
“We were in relationships, and it was always never the right time and it wouldn’t have worked,” Jennifer shared. “The beauty of that was that whatever feelings we had we just literally channeled everything into Ross and Rachel and I think that’s maybe why it resonated the way it did. But no, we never, on my life (got together).”
Fans are freaking out over the report with one of the fans saying: “I sincerely hope every word is true.”
A second fan added that they “hope they find happiness” even if it means they’re “just reconnecting as good friends”.
“I literally just got chills. Ross and Rachel. Rachel and Ross. Jen and David. It’s all meant to be,” wrote another.
While someone commented: “If Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer get together my Friends’ heart will die happy.”
