Heartbreaking news coming in from Caerphilly has revealed how an innocent 10-year-old boy was recently mauled to death by a dog in his own home.
Gwent Police have confirmed how officers rushed to the horrifying scene in Caerphilly, including a special team of trained armed policemen after horrifying claims were made about a dog killing a child. This includes a team of paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Services who pronounced the boy dead upon their arrival.
The tragic incident took place during the afternoon hours of Monday, leaving the entire community saddened beyond belief.
Some eyewitnesses went as far as mentioning how they even saw a line of 12 police cars with four ambulances arrive at the scene where the dog was reportedly shot dead at the given address.
Meanwhile, one neighbor recalled the brutal dog attack, adding how he was beyond heartbroken and devastated to see a child so young die under such tragic circumstances.
In the same way, another resident went on to speak about how she had never ever seen anything of this severity in her life, adding how it was beyond horrific.
The councilor for the local Plaid Cymru has released a public statement that went on express condolences for the family members and friends of the young victim, alongside prayers for the departed soul.
“Our thoughts go out to the loved ones of the young boy who lost his life in this tragic attack and to his loved ones.
We would also like to express our thoughts to all the emergency services who attended to the incident,” it stated. The councilor also revealed how the animal was shot dead due to the nature of the attack which took away an innocent life.
Police are yet to reveal further details in the case as investigations continue.
