The gambling addict pleaded guilty recently when a court sentenced her to a lifetime in prison, without any parole. The woman murdered her husband and then went on a run. In the end, police searches comprised of the most diligent nationwide manhunt.

Lois Riess is from Blooming Prairie. She is currently facing first-degree murder charges. The gruesome murder took place in the month of March in 2018. And during that fatal shooting, she killed her husband, 54-year-old David Reiss.
The shocking crime took place at the couple’s home in Minnesota. And that’s when Lois chose to fled the crime scene. In the end, a long and daunting man –hunt chase by law officials, caught her.

After getting her punishment, Lois turned towards her husband’s close family and friends in court. She apologized for her wrongdoing. Furthermore, that’s when she also explained to them how living without her husband is the biggest punishment ever.
The court hearing took place at an auditorium inside Kasson-Mantorville’s High School premises. In addition, the grandma also reiterated how she shouldn’t have killed her husband in the first place.
“What I did was a truly unpardonable crime. Solitude is truly forever. And that’s why I feel like that is why I deserve this. I will have no reprieve whatsoever,” she explained.
