For that reason, we thought we would put forward an array of 10 math riddles that appear super simple, but they have a catch.

The answer to the sum is 500. We’re pretty sure those who got it wrong are wondering how. Hence, this little illustrated example is for you. To arrive at your answer, you need to add 444+44+4+4+4 together, which will give you 500.

Jenifer was born on the 29th of February, during a leap year. Yes, a lot of people usually get these types of math riddles wrong as they assume February has 28 days only. Yes, this is partly true but you can’t leave out the leap year which comes every once in a while.

You have to assume that a is 1, b is 2, and c is 3.

Like the problem above, we need to apply the order of operations rule. However, the first step is all about simplifying the addition inside the parentheses. This makes life so much easier at the start.
Hence, going from left to right, 6 divided by 2×3=9
Problem number 7
The answer is 0
Again, it’s all about nailing the order of operations which states multiplication comes first, followed by division, addition, and then subtraction. Hence 2-2×2+2= 2-4+2= 2-2=0
Problem number 8
The answer is $12,000
The remainder is $1000 which is 1/12 of the whole. Hence, that means the whole together is $12,000.
Problem number 9- simple math riddles
The answer is 86. When it’s turned upside down and then flipped, it becomes 98, which is 12 more than 86.
Problem number 10
The final answer is 12, by again following the order of operations rules. Therefore, multiplication, then addition, and finally subtraction.
