A 5-year-old girl was left without a mother after her “jealous” father shot and killed his estranged wife and her friend.
Ali Abulaban is a TikTok influencer who was charged with shooting and killing his estranged wife and the mother of his child after hearing her talk to a man whom he presumed to be her lover.
According to the prosecutors, the 29-year-old man, who has a rap sheet consisting of domestic violence incidents, secretly implanted a listening device in his young daughter’s iPad when he thrashed his wife’s apartment shortly after she ordered him to move out.
As the San Diego Union-Tribune reported, Abulaban then allegedly used the device to spy on his estranged wife, Ana Abulaban. After hearing the 28-year-old lady talking to a male friend whom he suspected of being her lover, the TikTok star stormed her San Diego home and shot the pair dead.
After the shooting, Abulaban casually picked up his daughter from her school and told her that he had hurt her mother. “I hurt mommy,” he reportedly said.
The jealous husband was later arrested and arraigned at the San Diego County Superior Court where he pleaded not guilty to the double murder.
According to the prosecutors, Abulaban was previously accused of pushing his estranged wife and inflicting minor injuries in front of their 5-year-old daughter. He allegedly also admitted suspecting his estranged wife of cheating on him with the male friend he had shot dead.
Following the ordeal, a GoFundMe page was started to help Ana Abulaban’s family pay for the funeral expenses.
“God gained another angel too soon. Ana was sweet, kind hearted, beautiful, talented & a devoted mother… She was a friend to so many and she was so loved… this weighs heavy on my heart,” the page reads.
“I am setting this account up to help her family with funeral expenses. Anything helps.”
