Lyndsey McKeown did not let cancer stop her from achieving her dreams, and just last week, she tied the knot with Daniel in front of family and close friends in Dublin, Ireland.

Their children, Rian, 12, Riley, 10, and Carson, 7, were also delighted as the couple exchanged vows.

But only four days after saying ‘I do,’ Lyndsey died from the disease, leaving her grieving family facing a huge fight not to become homeless.

The former hairdresser had been given the all-clear in February but the cancer returned and she died at Harold’s Cross Hospice.

This is already the second tragedy to hit the family as Lyndsey’s mother just died only weeks before.

A family friend has set up a GoFundMe page to help the heartbroken family as they need to find another place to stay.

Friend Sharon Ogden shared how Daniel is a full-time dad to his children, two of whom were diagnosed with ADHD and autism.

“Everybody is broken over her death. Lyndsey was an incredible person and that’s why everybody loved her,” she said.

“I used to call her Mother Teresa in a tracksuit because she was just so good to everybody. She sang and danced herself through life too, even on her worst days. She lit everybody’s life up and would do anything for you.”

Sharon said that the family are currently in a council house which is rented from a landlord.

“They then went and got the HAP [Housing Assistance Payment] scheme so now they are hoping to be housed locally by the council,” she continued.

“The landlord of where they currently are is selling but is nice in that he is giving them time, but they do face having nowhere to live if it’s not sorted soon.

“It’s the last thing Daniel and the boys need to be worrying about at the moment.”
