An innocent 8-year-old child has reportedly passed away after being tortured and murdered by her own parents.
The news comes as the victim’s older sister broke her silence on her family’s reality, adding how no other family should ever have to go through something as tragic as this.
According to local media reports, Elizabeth Rose Struhs was reportedly found dead at her own residence which is Toowoomba, Queensland. The young victim was denied her vital medication by her parents, despite knowing that she was suffering from Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus.
The accused parents have been identified by the police as the 46-year-old mother of eight Kerrie and her 50-year-old husband Jason.
The evil couple prayed over their own child at the family’s home-based church, as revealed by authorities, sending shockwaves in the neighborhood.
Both husband and wife have recently been slapped with murder and torture charges, alongside the failure to provide necessities needed for the life of the youngster.
The victim’s five younger siblings are now in danger of facing their lives alone as both mother and father are in jail and awaiting their trial.
Meanwhile, the victim’s elder sister named Jay Struhs has vowed to step up to the plate and take care of her siblings.
“The news has left us all in absolute shock and disbelief. We are all beyond shattered and heartbroken over what has happened,” Jay revealed via an emotional post recently.
The couple chose to stop the child’s medication on the 2nd of January, holding the belief that God cured her sickness and it had nothing to do with either doctors or hospitals.
Little Elizabeth passed away on January 5, but she was found the next day when one of the members of the family’s small prayer group quickly called upon the paramedics.
