A tragedy involving a 14-year-old girl has left one family saddened with a grief beyond belief.
The parents of Olivia Kolek revealed how their beautiful daughter passed away in the most tragic circumstances imaginable on New Year’s Eve. And that’s when they spoke about she was reportedly hit by a car near the Rowley Regis rail station in West Midlands.
The family says that the alleged driver who happened to be behind the wheel was reportedly drunk and was suspected to be a drug driver too.
Therefore, the family says that they just can’t come to terms with the news and feel like it’s the worst punishment that anyone could ever receive.
“How can we go on from here? How can anyone expect us to continue to be a family after losing our brightest star,” her devastated loved ones added.
Olivia was struck by the speeding grey-toned Mercedes vehicle, as she stood near the train station. Authorities claim that she was headed off to visit her friends and celebrate the start of the new year with them. But little did she know about the tragedy that awaited her.
Paramedics rushed to the scene after the accident had taken place. But despite their efforts in trying to save the young schoolgirl, she just couldn’t be brought back to life. Therefore, Olivia was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident in Sandwell, West Midlands.
Reports have stated that the 39-year-old driver stopped and was then arrested on the suspicion of causing her death by driving while being under the influence of drugs.
Since then, he has reportedly been released after undergoing an investigation, just moments after the horrifyingly tragic collision took place on Friday afternoon.
Her parents have released an emotional statement where they termed their beloved daughter as their love, life, and heart. Additionally, they mentioned how they will love her and miss her forever.
