A monster stepfather has been sentenced to jail after being found guilty of bashing a 2-year-old toddler to death.
According to local media reports, little Grace Thorpe suffered from an array of horrifyingly tragic injuries which included a fractured jaw, brain bleed, broken leg, bruising to the face as well as the body while seated in her high chair.
The man responsible for the murder was 27-year-old Adam Jackson who launched into a mega eruption of violence against the innocent child that used to refer to her as daddy.
The stepfather was reportedly looking after young Grace all alone in Cleveland, where he is known to have brutally struck her in the face, at least seven times.
He then opted to leave her in the critically injured state for a long time, right before he made an attempt to call the paramedics.
The toddler was rushed to the hospital immediately but sadly, she just didn’t arrive on time and hence could not be saved by the medical staff at hand, who declared her dead, two days later from her severe injuries.
Shocking results from her lab tests went on to reveal how she had also been exposed to regular doses of cocaine as well as cannabis.
When her little body arrived at the hospital, the medical staff were beyond appalled to see her body being covered in giant bruises, including her face. But reports have also gone on to reveal how these injuries were not recent and hence were suspected to have taken place in the weeks that led up to her murder.
The suspect has been jailed after confessing to the heinous crime. But where was young Grace’s mother this whole time?
Jackson had reportedly been in a relationship with Grace’s mother Alice Quine, for more than a year when the horror-filled incident took place. He was requested to look after Alice’s baby as she was at work but little did the mother know that this would be the consequence of leaving her child alone with him.
