One mother is proving to the world that breastfeeding is normal and needs to be publicized more often to help get rid of the stigma that society often associates it with.
While most mothers are afraid or feel shameful to nurse their children in public, one woman is setting the perfect example for other mothers on what needs to be done to shut down trolls and haters.
After being slammed by a complete stranger while feeding her baby, this mother opted to fight back when he asked her to cover up in public.
The woman says that breastfeeding a baby is a natural process and people need to stop acting like it’s a big deal. “Just like you eat food with a spoon, we give children their milk via our breasts,” the mother explained.
Ashley Kaidel revealed how she had enough of people telling her what to do, especially when it came to this subject. Therefore, when a total stranger gave her looks of disgust while nursing at a restaurant, she took a stand, for all the mamas out there today.
“I couldn’t just let him go like that. I refused to cover up and wished to teach him a lesson along the way,” Ashley said.
Her incident has gone viral across the board with many shocked at how bold and confident this woman appeared to be against trolls like that.
“I put up an image of me and my son breastfeeding and I appear to be looking in the distance. But in reality, I am staring into the eyes of a woman that was staring at me. She looked with disgust and even shook her head with some sort of judgment in my mind,” the mother of one explained.
The mother says that she continued to nurse like an absolute boss, ignoring anyone who happened to look at her.
“If I feel like feeding without a cover, that’s my problem and if someone happens to mind then they can look the other way,” the mother concluded.
