Renowned MotoGP superstar Miguel Oliveira is shocking audiences and his fans after putting his public life on display.
The Portuguese sportsman raised plenty of eyebrows when he opted to tie the knot with his stepsister, who arose from his dad’s side of the family.
Despite keeping his relationship a secret for 11 whole years, he startled his own loved ones when he and his lover opted to put their relationship in front of the public eye.
Clearly, many didn’t see this one coming and before we knew it, the superstar sportsman was married and giving out details to media outlets.
In 2015, Miguel created history after he won the mega World Championship Grand Prix in Italy but after his startling life decision, many were more than curious to know how he and his partner met.
“Andreia Pimenta was my step-sister from my dad’s side of the family. And we knew each other since we were just 13 years old. We both have shared such an emotional bond for so long and we made sure that we never allowed our flame to die out,” he stated.
The star also shed light on how he and his partner knew that what they felt for one another was something more than friendship.
“It’s a very strong kind of love and I told her that we need to get married. We had postponed it due to my race but 2019 was our year and that’s when we did it,” he revealed.
A few years later, the couple claims they’re all set for the arrival of their new family member and that means a baby is on the way.
While the news definitely shocked plenty of close people in their surroundings, the overall response they received was so positive and welcoming and they couldn’t be more grateful for all the blessings.
