A 17-year-old girl reportedly drowned just a few days before her grand 18th birthday celebration.
According to reports from local media outlets, the young girl happened to be on a fun and exciting trip with her mother. She was super excited to turn 18 and hence that was why the duo was out celebrating.
But little did they know that their party over the weekend would come to a tragic end as she died on that very trip that was in honor of her turning 18.
The mother says she is still in a state of shock as to what went on. “This was supposed to be the best weekend”- she said while wiping tears away from her face.
The victim hailed from New York but the tragedy happened while she was traveling to Florida as they always wanted to visit the south. But who knew about the outcome that was in store for them?
Danielle was having a great time while on vacation but then it all came to a tragic end when she drowned in the ocean where she was swimming.
Sources revealed how the 17-year-old had been swept away by a giant ocean current in Cocoa Beach on Saturday. Moreover, the police also confirmed the report.
While the friend who accompanied her on the trip happened to be in the same boat as she was, the lifeguards managed to get to her on time but failed to do the same with Danielle. And in the end, it cost her her life.
Danielle’s body reportedly washed up on the shore during the early hours of Sunday morning. And today, her loved ones and friends are remembering all the beautiful memories they shared with her while mourning her tragic death.
