A case dating back to the year 2019 where a father had been accused of using his own son as a human shield has now entered the spotlight again.
According to local media reports, the toddler named Yaseem Jenkins was only 11 months old at that time but that didn’t stop his dad from using him as a human shield while trying to escape from a supposed drug-related shooting.
The suspect was a notorious con artist and he felt zero guilt while using his son for protection from bullets being directed at him.
Little Yaseem received bullets to his head, neck, and buttocks region. Today, he has tragically died at the age of just 3, all thanks to his father’s horrifying and cruel intentions.
Nafes Monroe tried to purchase drugs using counterfeit cash from the Hunting Part district, as revealed by officials.
Therefore, one alleged shooter who had been following his car began to spray bullets on him but little did he know that the evil dad would end up using a baby to cover himself.
Shooter Francisco Ortiz says that the duo had a deal going on which went in a sour direction. And for that reason, he wanted his money.
While shooting, all of his bullets hit his son, instead of the con artist father. After being severely injured, he was rushed to the hospital and while he may have been rescued by the skin of his teeth, today, he passed away.
The police are currently waiting for the reports from the coroner’s office in regards to the real cause of death of the toddler to be unveiled. But they are certain he died due to his injury in 2019, all thanks to his dad.
If the cause of death specified is homicide, Ortiz will reportedly be charged with murder, confirmed authorities.
