Mascara spoke about how he saw both of these young deputies as hardworking, ambitious, and wonderful people that complemented one another but little did he know that they would be gone so soon.

“They were a great compliment to my already amazing team of professionals,” he added.

“It’s just so easy for me and the general public to view the law enforcement as being superhuman, but let us not forget that they are just like one of us,” he went on to explain.

Reports revealed how the Florida Sheriff’s Department received a call before midnight on the eve of New Year and that’s when he found how Osteen had tried to take his own life, while he was off duty. His own family chose to remove him from life support on Sunday.

On the other hand, the sheriff’s office revealed how they found out about his wife’s suicide, just a few days later. But the office failed to let out any details on when she actually passed away.
