Former Navy SEAL who shot and killed Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden said that he could rescue stranded Americans from Kabul with “nine guys” amid the Taliban takeover.

On Friday, Robert O’Neill talked about the situation in Afghanistan on Fox News with Will Cain.

He suggested that a lot of US admirals and generals should have been fired or resigned over recent events in the country.

“I’m a big believer in the acronym KISS: Keep it simple, stupid,” O’Neill told Cain. “And I was talking to another SEAL Team Six operator with whom I’ve served for 20 years. I’m just gonna call him Tiny.”

“And Tiny told me the response: ‘Here’s how you get the Americans out,” O’Neill said. “Tiny smash with hammer. And that’s it.”

O’Neill went on to explain how he would rescue Americans who are still in Kabul if he was in charge.

“Look, I don’t want to be in charge, but if I was – oh I want to get the Americans? Cool. Give me nine guys,” O’Neill told Fox News. “I’m gonna walk through the streets and I’m gonna kill everyone I see, and I’m gonna grab the Americans. It is not difficult.”

“But we have these people who are in charge that are a disgrace. I am amazed that there haven’t been at least 30 generals and admirals that haven’t resigned or been fired today.”

O’Neill continued and appears to reference the unproven irregularities in the 2020 presidential election.

“But we won’t because we have a commander-in-chief that was put there through whatever happened at four in the morning on election night,” O’Neill said. “This is nonsense. It’s insulting.”

“Everyone veteran, Marine, airman and navy SEAL, coastguards, everyone I’ve talked to today, all they tell me is they feel gross,” O’Neill said.

“And that’s how you should feel,” O’Neill said. “You should feel gross. We don’t ask the Taliban’s permission. You know what we do? We kick their ass, that’s it.”

O’Neill was a member of SEAL Team Six, which carried out the raid that killed bin Laden in May 2011 in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

He later claimed to have delivered the fatal shot to bin Laden himself, but this has proven controversial and has been disputed by another Navy SEAL who was involved.

Moreover, O’Neill’s claim to have killed the Al-Qaeda leader has been the subject of controversy due to Navy SEALs’ code of silence that prevents them from publicly taking credit for their actions.

According to SEAL Team Six member Matt Bissonnette’s book titled No Easy Day, O’Neill did not deliver the fatal shot. The US government has never confirmed who killed Bin Laden.

Based on a 2017 report from The Intercept, it claimed that O’Neill did shoot bin Laden but the Al-Qaeda leader may already have been dead.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden said on Friday that the US government will evacuate Americans stranded in Afghanistan as well as US-Afghan allies who may now be in danger from the Taliban.

“We will get you home,” Biden said.
