Cops paid their final respects to dead newborn twins that were reportedly found abandoned in a dark alley in the Bronx recently.
The police officials made sure they properly arranged a funeral for the twins that were found wrapped in brown paper because they felt the least the babies deserved was a final and peaceful farewell.
As reports continue to reveal tragic details about the case, the cops have vowed to bring an end to the mystery regarding the cruelty of the incident. Moreover, harrowing details spoke about how the babies were wrapped in brown paper and kept inside a vermin-filled alley in the Bronx district.
Now, dozens of cops claim they are so desperate to figure out why this incident took place and who is responsible for the poor babies’ condition.
About 20 officers from the New York Police Department, which comprised mostly of detectives, showed up on Saturday at the Eternity Funeral Service, located in the Williamsbridge section of The Bronx. They did everything they could to make sure the little infants who they named Zeke and Zane would be given a peaceful abode for eternity.
One veteran homicide officer who is currently working on the case revealed how the tragedy has impacted so many of the people working at the NYPD and it’s just too painful to describe their sentiments regarding the matter.
“We named one of them Zeke which is the short form for Ezekiel and that means God’s strength. Similarly, we named the other as Zane which is another term for God’s gift,” he added.
Speaking to the Post recently, the officer went on to explain how he had never seen anything like this in the past. “These were two full-term newborns. They were covered in garbage bags and thrown inside a giant rat-filled alley in the dark,” he cried.
The officer also spoke about how the babies bodies’ were covered in fractures too. Adding how this has all weighed so heavily on each detective that’s working on the case, he vowed to bring those responsible to justice.
