College Student-Athlete Chokes To Death During Hot Dog Eating Contest For Charity In New York


A bright and beautiful college student tragically passed away after choking to death during a charity-based hot dog eating competition in New York.

According to local media reports, the student from Tufts University was identified as Madelyn Nicpon who was nicknamed ‘Madie’ by her friends and loved ones. She recently graduate from a suburban-based high school in New York but her time at Tufts was short-lived as the 20-year-old passed away too soon.

Those who knew Madelyn personally claim she was a standout athlete with a brilliant academic track record. Similarly, she served as a student leader for the Suffern High School Class of 2019 too.

The promising and bright student passed away at a hospital just one day after she fell unconscious after taking part in a charity fundraiser at her educational institution.

While the event was held off-campus, sources from Journal News claim that it was all done in the name of charity to help raise funds for a special cause. But little did anyone know that such a harmless-seeming event could potentially take someone’s life in the end.

The shocking news of Madelyn’s death sparked grief in her close family and friends circle with the entire university uniting to pay their final respects and goodbyes.

Thousands of students gathered at her home on Sunday night to recall the smiling and shining personality who made a great name in academics as well as sporting events like lacrosse.

Some also referred to the student as ‘Scooter’ on the team for which she played. Thousands of candles were put around her No. 2 jersey at the vigil held in her honor, where more than 6000 students gathered.

Simiarly, thousands of tributes began pouring in through social media for a young and ambitious woman that managed to make her way as class president at Suffern, receiving a whopping 4.0 GPA as mentioned in the papers.
