The frantic evacuation from war-torn Kabul has resulted in the admission of a number of older Afghan men bringing in their child brides into the US.
According to local media outlets, so many Afghan evacuees have gone about trafficking young child brides into the country, causing uproar and panic.
As investigations into the highly alarming report continue, the US State Department has gone about seeking urgent guidance over the matter as more and more shocking details regarding the incident arise.
Officials from the US are now looking into the matter with great seriousness as reports revealed how men much older entered with girls who were much younger than them. Moreover, they claimed that these were their brides, or also as girls that were sexually abused.
Officials situated at intake centers in the UAE as well as Wisconsin have also shown their concern over the matter after they also reported so many similar incidents recently.
Without a doubt, child marriage is not something uncommon in a third-world developing nation like Afghanistan. However, it must be remembered that the US has super strict policies regarding the matter, especially when it comes to cases of human trafficking.
