Those born in the ’80s and grew up with a TV in their house, know that we didn’t really have many shows let alone cartoon network shows of the 90s.
But the old cartoon shows we did have, we can name a few and they were the best.
From Duck Tales to The Jungle Book and from The Centurions to Captain Planet and The Planeteers, they were all once in a lifetime kind of old cartoon shows that we still adore. While talking about the cartoon network shows of the 90s is just nostalgic and we’re here to satisfy your memories.
Below are some of the best cartoon network shows of the 90s though there are many others as well.
Even though this show stopped airing in the early nineties, it has been put in the first of our list because of how amazing it is! Those who have watched Duck Tales know for sure that this is basically the best cartoon network show of the 90s. No comparison at all!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
I remember watching and talking about this show with my cousins ALL THE TIME! Leonardo, Raphael, Michaelangelo, and Donatello were basically heroes of us all at that time. Ah, what great memories! I feel like watching an episode or two of this on YouTube right now.
Batman: The Animated Series
This one is our personal favourite. No other superhero can be compared to Batman and that is just a straight fact. Although it was comical, it revolved around sentiments, too.
Now, who hasn’t heard the name PowerPuff Girls? Absolutely the best cartoon network show of the 90s! It taught us girl power, feminism and that despite being cute and nice, girls can be fierce and warriors if needed.
This is one of those old cartoons shows that just set a standard of good looks, a good body, and a cool mind for the boys. BUT despite being all that, he miserably failed in getting girls to like him. This was sort of not-cool to watch as little kids, we believe but hey! We grew up watching other good old cartoon shows too.
Recess: The best of cartoon network shows of the 90s
This cartoon network show was cute, hilarious, and way ahead of its time. Recess revolves around 6 elementary school students who formed their own society and competed with the government and whatnot! Kind of too big for such small kids but we all enjoyed it a little too much.
This is the only 90’s cartoons which won 20 awards! It was aired for straight 13 years and was everyone’s favourite in a sense it involved little babies.
These little babies of Rugrats Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, Lil, and Angelica share their points of view throughout their whole day.Just writing about it is making us want to watch it again. SO nostalgic!
This old cartoon show was one of the best! Dexter; a genius and Dee Dee; an idiot, run a lab where they experience so much ish that’s only describable if and when you watch it! If you have never watched an episode, you’re missing out, trust us!
Courage the Cowardly Dog
Unlike his name Courage, he’s a very coward dog who lives with an elderly couple.
The pink anthropomorphic dog goes through so much trouble and horror in this series that you’ll end up believing in supernatural powers too if you still don’t.If you want some adventure along with horror and a little bit of fun, this cartoon network’s 90’s show is for you!
The Jungle Book
Last but not least, The Jungle Book is the best cartoon network shows of the 90s. Not gonna lie, Mowgli made us love animals more than ever! Mowgli grows up with a bunch of wolves and has a bear friend named Baloo and trains with a tiger named Bagheera. It’s just very interesting and we are off to watch it again!!
We hope these cartoon network shows of the 90s refreshed your memory and made you happier. While you read it yourself, please share it with others as well.
