In April 2015, Caitlyn publicly came out as a trans woman and has been called the most famous transgender woman in the world.

A member of the Republican Party, Caitlyn is now running for governor of California in the 2021 California gubernatorial recall election.

A video uploaded to Twitter @PatriotTakes shows the aspiring California governor speaking and taking a picture with fans in the lobby of the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas.

Then a live-streaming YouTuber known as “The Black Conservative Preacher” ran close behind Caitlyn as she was leaving her hotel.

He and another person accompanying him surrounded Caitlyn as she took pictures with other people.

The heckler then started the verbal attack and the man can be heard shouting: “Hey Bruce. Bruce. What do you think of the stuff they’re teaching in schools regarding the LGBTQ? Bout Jesus Christ Bruce, don’t forget about Jesus.”

The abuser, who has not been named, added: “Look at that sick freak.”

The 71-year-old ignored the attacker as she walked through the lobby and pretended not to notice the man.

She did not raise any violence as she exits the hotel and heads towards a waiting SUV.

Caitlyn did not address the man and has not responded to requests for comments from Newsweek on the matter.

Calling a transgender person by their birth name is known as deadnaming, and it can be a stressful and triggering experience.

Her transphobic encounter at the event has caused many to respond in hatred, while others seemed to blame Caitlyn for associating with a conservative party.

Caitlyn was running as a Republican challenger to current California Governor Gavin Newsom, who faces a recall election this fall.

Since she declared her run for Governor of California on April 23, news reports have covered the 71-year-old’s hard work to commend herself to the GOP, expressing her disfavor for crucial campaign theory and pulling the party’s line on the issue of transgender athletes.

The aspiring Governor says that she believes it is biased to let trans female athletes participate against cisgender women.

“For the past decade, we have seen the glimmer of the Golden State reduced by a one-party rule that places politics over progress and special interests over people,” Caitlyn said in a statement. “I am a proven winner and the only outsider who can put an end to Gavin Newsom’s disastrous time as governor.”

The conference features a speech from former President Donald Trump and Caitlyn shared that she isn’t going to seek the endorsement of the former President.

The incident was not the only time that Caitlyn has received harassment over the weekend.

Another person reportedly called Caitlyn by her deadname as she was taking a selfie with her. The report indicates that Caitlyn “didn’t appear” to react to both incidents.
