71-year-old reality television star Caitlyn Jenner has recently announced her bid for the post of Governor of California recently.
Caitlyn announced her political campaign through Instagram on Friday morning, leaving plenty of people stunned beyond belief. She also added how she wished to reverse the damage that had been done by Newsom before it was too late too.
Jenner is renowned as a registered Republican who voted for Donald Trump in the year 2016 but did not choose to support him in the 2020 US presidential elections.
As far as her team is concerned, she has a strong lineup of support with prominent names. This includes plenty of former advisors to Donald Trump as well as staffers that include the likes of Tony Fabrizio and Steven Cheung.
Jenner claims that she has gone about revoking support because of her status as a trans and the high-esteemed position that she holds today in terms of trans issues too.
The star made a mega name for herself as Bruce on the hit series, Keeping up with the Kardashians. At that time, she was famous for being a leading medal winner for the Olympics. Bruce stayed a part of the reality television show, becoming a prominent identity in the series.
In the year 2015, she split from Kris Jenner, announcing to the world a rather shocking status of being a transgender.
The announcement had so many people bedazzled and confused as this was certainly something that they didn’t see coming.
Caitlyn Jenner went ahead and slammed Newsom for their extra protective restrictions relating to the COVID-19 lockdown. She went on to add how it destroyed all sorts of businesses while leaving a lasting mark on children’s education too.
Currently, it’s still unclear as to whether Jenner plans on running as a candidate from the Republican party or whether she will stand as an independent nominee.
