Heartbreaking new details emerged during the victim’s mother’s court appearance in connection with the murder of her son, including statements from her three surviving children.

During her court appearance, a prosecutor read a statement of probable cause, which revealed that the mother’s three surviving children witnessed Coulter beating 8-year-old Kendrick around Thanksgiving Day last year.

The traumatized children claimed Coulter kicked their brother in the face, buttocks, private parts, back, and feet, and struck him with closed fists.

The 7-year-old said that Coulter continued to kick his brother, who was no longer moving. When Williams entered the room and saw that Kendrick was dead, she started crying and fighting with Coulter.

Williams’ 15-year-old son told investigators that he believed his mother would call the police but ‘she never did.’

The 10-year-old claimed that Coulter would also beat him and hit him on the stomach, face, legs, and buttocks. Only three weeks ago, Coulter left him with a broken jaw.

During the press conference held by Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzales, investigators said that the younger children had been subjected to ‘consistent’ beatings at the hands of Coulter.

“This is a textbook case of a person that abuses children,” Harris County Sgt. Dennis Wolfford, who heads the sheriff’s homicide unit, said.

The sergeant said that the mother had a year to report the abuse and murder but she decided not to do it.

“They were very sweet children, very nice, very well-spoken,” Wolfford said, but adding that the kids had “blankness in the eyes.”
