6-Year-Old Boy Accidentally Shot His 5-Year-Old Brother While They Were Playing Together In Their Bedroom


A 6-year-old boy accidentally shot dead his younger brother at their home in Pennsylvania while they were playing near an unsecured gun.

5-year-old Connor Wolfe was playing in the bedroom with his brother and another child when he was accidentally shot.

The tragic incident is now being investigated by Allegheny County homicide detectives and local police.

Speaking to KDKA, Lt. Venerando Costa of the Allegheny County Police Department said: “The initial investigation shows there was children playing in a back bedroom when one of the children was shot.

“We’re still working to figure out how that occurred, but the child was pronounced deceased at a hospital.

“It’s always hard when its children, just is. They’re innocent so that’s why it’s always tough.”

The parents already spoke with the Allegheny County Police Department. No charges are being filed yet.

The Penn Hills Police Department and School District issued a statement offering emotional support in response to the tragic incident.

“Penn Hills School District confirms the passing of our kindergarten student Connor Wolfe yesterday,” the district said.

“We ask all members of our PH community to remember Connor and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Counselors and Social Workers will remain accessible for students and staff who need extra support during this very difficult time.”

The family’s neighbors have been left shocked and heartbroken by the tragedy.

Shari Robinson told KDKA: “I’m just so sad this happened. Guns got to be locked up because kids don’t know they think they are toys, and they have to be locked up because this is what happens.”

Her husband Alfred Robinson added: “’They are nice kids, very nice kids, always speaking, very manner-able. I just can’t believe it. It’s just horrible, it’s hard.”

The couple said that they are praying for the grieving family.

“Just praying for the family, hope they make it through,” they expressed.
